The Results:

So here is the final challenge set for the Hungry Readers Games, ending for me over the next few days. It’s been a blast- I wont lie, I well underperformed, in particular on the social media side of things, but I met the 6 people, read some fantastic books, and even found some new authors to follow too!!!

As you can see above I chose book 1 and 2 (and promptly bookmarked book3!!!) I had bookmarked book 2 some time ago and so was excited to read it, but jumped first for book 1 as after reading Poll Dancer just a few weeks ago (read the review here ), I knew I had to read She Got Game, a book all about board gaming. The review is here.

While I read the book within the allocated time, I didn’t post about it and reviewed after the allocated time. And while I’ve started Splitting Heirs (and am enjoying it), obviously I didn’t read or review in time.

So there we are, the end of an excellent month where I read the following books!!

Coming Home to Heritage Cove by Helen Rolfe (242 pages) review here

When Life Gives You Lemons by Fiona Gibson (400 pages) review here

Midwife Crisis by Lyndsey Gallagher (still to be reviewed)

Samantha Tonge-The Summer Island Swap (review here) length 368 pages

Jenny Rabe’ Something Old (The Fake Engagement Series book 1 review here) length 250 pages

Sunshine and Second Chances by Kim Nash 238 pages review here

Poll Dancer by the brilliant Laura Heffernan 182 pages review here

Just Friends by Lucy Keeling 273 pages review here

T A William’s Dreaming of Tuscany Arc from Netgalley (blog post not done yet) 262 pages

Kitty Wilson Happy Ever After (The Cornish Village School book 5) Arc from Netgalley review here

Keris Stainton The Bad Mother’s Book Club Arc from Netgalley 229 pages review here

Mary Frame Surprise book Imperfectly Delicious (Imperfectly Perfect book 6) 276 pages review here

And then of course She’s got game by Laura Heffernan (216 pages) review here

The highest of thanks to Mary Smith, who is just the ultimate in the planning of the Hungry Readers Games and our fantastic judge Laura, who literally dropped everything to do dice rolls!!

Speaking of … if there’s a chance of a final dice roll, I’ll take it!!

Friends do nice things for each other, right?
That’s what Polly Bowman tells herself when she agrees to be her friend Bailey’s ‘fake girlfriend’ to help him keep a promise to his family. After all, Bailey has always supported her through difficult times – he even knows about her secret singing sessions at the local speakeasy bar.
But maintaining a fake relationship isn’t easy, and when Polly’s meddling but well-meaning group of friends throw her and Bailey together as best man and maid-of-honour for an upcoming wedding, Polly soon realises she’s going to have to confront a few long-kept secrets head on …
