What they say: Wedding vows have never been this personal…
Willow has been living with marriage-shy Charlie for more years than she cares to remember and is old-fashioned enough to want a wedding band and a loads-of-sex honeymoon before stretchmarks and nipple shields.
So when the once-wary Charlie surprisingly goes down on one knee, Willow doesn’t question why her boyfriend is suddenly so keen to rush her into saying “I do”.
The first clue comes as Willow is zipped into her Cinderella dress, the second as she bobs into the wedding car, and the third as the Roller swings towards its fairy-tale destination… leaving a shell-shocked Willow desperately trying to figure out what to do next.
A bride can do anything she wants on her wedding day, but nobody expected her to do this…
The Revew: If you live in Twittersville or bookland (lovely places to inhabit!) you’ll regularly see the most attention grabbing tweets, showing beautiful covers and offering fantastic premises.
As you’ll see from the beautiful cover above, they’re hard to resist and actually I have a few on my kindle that I’ve been reminding myself about regularly. So how thrilled was I to see this, an excuse to finally emerge myself in a Debbie Viggiano book? Extremely!!
We begin this book as we meet our lead, Willow, mid hangover and post birthday celebrated with good looking and slightly negative Charlie.
I loved when we got to hear Charlie’s pov and was taken by how real the characters were- you liked or loved them, felt for them, raged against them, felt for them again … This was a bright, vivid page turner, with some great ‘boom’ moments, that had me wondering what was going to happen and practically inhaling every single word. Definitely an author I’ll be reading again. Thanks so much to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review and for letting me be part of the blog tour.
About the author
Prior to turning her attention to writing, Debbie Viggiano was, for more years than she cares to remember, a legal secretary. She lives with her Italian husband, a rescued pooch from Crete, and a very disgruntled cat. Occasionally her adult children return home bringing her much joy… apart from when they want to raid the fridge, or eat her secret stash of chocolate.
