What they say: Welcome to The Cornish Confetti Agency!
When the grand finale of Lexie Harrington’s catwalk show ends with a disastrous twist on the ‘ice bucket challenge’, she was expecting her highly-strung boss to fire her on the spot. What she wasn’t expecting was to bump into her fiancé cosied up with an attractive blonde in the restaurant opposite their apartment!
Desperate to escape her heartbreak, Lexie flees to her childhood home of St Ives to hold the fort at The Cornish Confetti Agency for her best friend Freya, leader of the yummy mummy network and firm believer in ‘happily ever afters’. Little did she know that delivering a Caribbean-themed wedding in sunny Cornwall would rival the fashion industry for drama, tantrums and mysterious goings on.
Who is responsible for dousing the bridesmaid’s dress with tomato ketchup? Or hiding the bride’s beloved Jimmy Choos? Or attaching googly eyes to everything in sight?
The perfect Cornish wedding? Is there such a thing for The Cornish Confetti Agency?
The Review:I need to begin by again apologising, this time that I’m a day late with this review. Sorry to both the lovely Daisy and the lovely Rachel, neither of who need this. My horrendous excuse is that I didn’t know that today was the 20th, I actually thought it was the 19th. It sounds awful but I just can’t get it together. Really sorry again and thanks to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review and for letting me be part of the blog tour.
We meet our lead, Lexie in the pandemonium of a fashion show and I almost clapped my hands together in the sheer magic of it all- a stunning, wonderous, glitzy event that we don’t know if she’ll succeed in getting every single moment perfect for. Not every single moment exactly goes to plan and my jaw dropped.
To hear next that there was some wedding planning going on had me thrilled- I’m beyond partial to a good wedding!! I loved the drama and dramatics of this book, mingled with the comedy, romance, colour and vividness that you never fail to get with a Daisy James book. I savoured it all and can’t recommend enough for these times for pure escapism in a time when both the weather is changing and we need the pop of colour. Can’t wait for the next book!
