The Review: First off I am so so sorry, I’ve just realised I’m a day late with this, the blog post for the blog tour for the lovely Frilly, in She Ran From Love.
I can’t give any excuse except that I was all go for posting this on Monday as opposed to Sunday, I have no clue why, and I apologise profusely to Rachel and the author and hope I haven’t messed things up too much. So on to the review and sorry again.
I was beyond intrigued to see this, a book for adults, written by a bear and jumped at the opportunity to read. This is a short picture book that’s laden with thought about finding happiness and being brave. It’s told through lovely pictures of the bear that show the journey taken to get to being happy. I really enjoyed it but not having really known what it was going to be, sat back and reingested it all as I read a second time. The pictures would be lovely for younger readers but this is an older read that will have you thinking.
Thanks so much to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review and for letting me be part of the blog tour and apologies again.
About the author (Mawson!)
Mawson, a big hearted, soul searching teddy bear, is here to help. He is one of this bright world’s few Writer-Bears. He speaks about Being One’s Best in an world that is often baffling – and not only for bears. He is often muddled about things (well, he is a bear). But he is always confident that things are going to turn out All Right.
